The dress looks much better in person than in any photo. What struck me was how much labor clearly went into creating the dress and how meticulous the pattern is in real life.
I really appreciate the fact that it comes with a bit of margin, in case you need to let loose an extra inch on the sides.

I love my Marble Kali Skirt! It is well-made and the fabric is gorgeous. The skirt hangs so pretty and is very flattering on. I’m sure it will be a treasured item.
I came across the Amar Kosa shop at the Lil Flea Exhibition in Mumbai in January 2023. I was immediately drawn to the stall just from seeing all the gorgeous dresses, tops and jackets.
As I needed an elegant outfit for my brother’s wedding (in France), asked Ruchita’s advice and tried a few options. Although I liked them all, this gorgeous pale green halter neck dress was my final choice and the right choice! I also asked Ruchita if she could make a matching jacket as I thought that would be appropriate for the church ceremony and in case it got cooler in the evening. She was really helpful and encouraging and even custom made the dress and the jacket to my size and then had them sent to me.
The great thing about this dress and outfit is that it can be worn for a wedding or something less formal such as an evening dinner or party with friends. The jacket can easily be used alone to dress up a simple outfit such as jeans and a tank top too. I look forward to being able to wear this outfit again in the future too!

Love love loved the fit of the dresses. Never found something that suited my body so instantly. My AMAR KOSA favorites are the beautiful indigos in handloom ikat, thoughtfully finished with piping and other small details that give it polish.

I love cottons and have been loyal to it for almost 20 years now. But finding designs & prints that are unique in cotton is not easy and then getting it customized for you is even harder. Stumbled upon this label in an exhibition in Chennai. They make lovely clothes with an excellent fit. Great styling combined with ease of wear, makes it perfect for a hot place like Chennai.
